When you are buying a home, don’t just get a verbal promise; get everything in writing, especially in this hot real estate market. Be ready to go when you are a buyer, so you can move quickly when you find the right house. Get pre-approved for a mortgage, have proof of funding, be flexible with a closing date and think about other items you can offer up, such skipping a home inspection or not pushing the sellers to make all the repairs.
