The Laguna Art Museum is featuring the exhibit Thomas Hunt: California Modernist, through Sunday, January 12th. Thomas Hunt became active in the Laguna Beach Art Association in the early 1920’s. He moved to Laguna Beach permanently in 1927. He is best known for his coastal and harbor scenes, filled with board brushstrokes, with strong use of light and reflections. In addition, he created works of the snowy landscapes in Canada and Cleveland. This is the second solo exhibit of his works, which includes 50 of his paintings.
