The Lion In Winter at Laguna Playhouse

Laguna Playhouse will be performing The Lion In Winter. The play will be performed from Wednesday, November 6ththrough Sunday, November 24th. Set during Christmas 1183, as King Henry II is planning to announce his successor. During Christmas festivities, different schemers try to influence the king to choose their option. There is comedy and drama. The play is written by James Goldman and this production is directed by Sheldon Epps. The performances begin at 7:30pm. Yoga Play at Laguna Playhouse

The Laguna Playhouse is currently performing Yoga Play. Yoga Play was written by Dipika Guha. The play follows employees at yoga apparel giant, Jojomon, just as it is hit with scandal. San Francisco Chronicle said the play was “comic nirvana.” The play runs through October 23rd. The Laguna Playhouse is located at 606 Laguna Canyon Road. Irvine is a 66 square mile master planned city, ideally located between San Diego and Los Angeles. 21st Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational

The 21st Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational is taking place from October 5ththrough October 13th. The Collectors’ Gala will be held on Saturday, October 12th. In addition, to the gala, there will be painting workshops and demonstrations. Monday, October 7thwill be a special kids paint out and cookie reception. Tuesday, October 8thwill be a Downtown Nocturne Paint Out. The week is packed with art events and talks. The festival is being presented by the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. Taste of Laguna Food and Music Festival

The Taste of Laguna Food and Music Festival will be taking place on Thursday, October 3rd. The event is part of The Festival of Arts Laguna Beach. This is one great evening for food and music lovers. The Chamber of Commerce is hosting Taste of Laguna and KX 93.5 is putting on the concert. There will be more than thirty local restaurants participating. I Will Not Make Any More Boring Art At Laguna Art Museum

The Laguna Art Museum’s current exhibit is I Will Not Make Any More Boring Art, featuring prints by John Baldessari. John Baldessari is a contemporary California artist, whose works combine photograph and appropriated images such as movie stills. Baldessari began print making in 1971. Prints can be playful, lower in cost and make art available to larger audiences. Prints in this exhibit are from the collection of Jordan D. Junior Explorers Program

 

The Ranch at Laguna Beach is hosting a summer Junior Explorer program as one of their 2019 summer camp opportunities. All the summer programs are designed to provide an educational experience presented in a fun, entertaining and engaging manner. The Juniors Explorers program runs Wednesdays through Saturdays through the end of August.  Daily themes include gardening, plein air art, canyon creatures and birds of prey. Lunch is in included. The Sister’s Halloween Catechism

 

Create a warm and inviting environment in your home prior to a sale. Begin by de-cluttering and de-personalizing the home. Add accents in warm and rich colors, to create a warm feeling during chillier fall weather. A bowl of fresh fruit in the kitchen is appropriate, colorful and inviting in the kitchen. The Sister’s Halloween Catechism will be performed from Monday, October 23rd through Monday, October 30th. The Halloween Catechism is “The Holy Ghost and other Terrifying Tales.”  The performance includes the church’s take on ghosts and goblins. This is an interactive performance. Especially during the fall season, play up the fireplace, this is a terrific home selling feature.
