The Laguna Beach Film Society is beginning their Summer Comedy Series this Thursday June 20th with the film Harold and Maude. The series will feature three movies total, one per month, each movie “with a humorous focus on the people and places of California.” July will feature The Big Lebowski and August will feature Sideways. The movies are shown at the South Coast Cinema. The June feature, Harold and Maude, was released in 1971 and directed by Hal Ashby. There is a pre-screening reception at the Laguna Art Museum that includes wine and hors d’ oeuvres. Screenings are on the third Thursday of each month. Film admission is free for Film Society Members and $7.00 for non-members, $20 with reception.
